Barbara J. Cook, age 65, of Lincoln, Missouri, passed away January 19, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born on January 20, 1951 in Columbia, Missouri, the daughter of Calvin and Mary Katherine (Hamilton) McGee.

Barbara was employed as a secretary for Hilty Quarries in Warsaw for many years.

She is survived by her husband, George Cook, of the home, two daughters; Cathy Engles, and her husband, Rob and Amber Yearout, and her husband, Chad, all of Lincoln, three step children; Emery Cook, and wife, Angie, of Smithton, Missouri, Bobby Cook and Laura Cook, both of Grandbury, Texas, seven grandchildren, five sisters; Kaye Ellis, Marion Matney, Cheryl Heuer, Karen Dickey and Susan McGee, two brothers; Edward McGee and Calvin McGee. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Lola Johnson, and husband, Terry, and a brother-in-law, John Cook, and wife, Tracey, numerous nieces and nephews other relatives and many friends.

Funeral Services for Barbara J. Cook will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the Davis-Miller Funeral Home in Lincoln, Missouri. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Graveside Services and Interment will follow the funeral at the Lincoln Cemetery in Lincoln, Missouri. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lincoln Community Care Center c/o the funeral home.
