• Paul Davis of Rose Hill, VA and James Morrison or Glasgow, KY enter the 8th Round with 26 and 24 match points respectively. They drew each other in their 3rd Round.  They also drew  their 1, 2, and 3 games of the 8th round with the Championship still hanging in the balance. This 4 game lasted way into the night, nearly 2am with Davis defeating Morrison to win the Championship.  There was a room full of guys watching and waiting for this out come.  What a Tournament!  (Group Picture) Elbert Lowder, and Raleigh Johnson & Edward Scheidt may be miss-identified and missing from above crosstable?  The following players were not in this picture or not yet identified: Asplund - ?, Ron Bailey - IN, Anthony Bishop - TN, Emmett Bowersock - WV, Harry Curtis - ?,  Pete Dew - NC, Richard Hill - ?,  John S. • H M Jackson had two byes back to back in rounds 2 and 3 but accumulated only 4 points?
• Withdrawn players stack at bottom according to match points with exception of last round withdrawals which are figured as the low round for honor points.
• Schwartz was mailed remainder of $37.50, East left early got $35.00 instead of $32.00, Sipe and Bryan Smith +/- off a couple of dollars.
• This cross-table was copied from the original 2x4 cardboard tourney poster, but listed in finish position instead of alphabetical.  LE stands for late entry, wd for withdrawal
• The tournament organizer/promoter was Clint Pickard. 
• Tim Laverty was the Scorekeeper.
