2007 2nd Annual Mt. Hope Tournament

Friday & Saturday - August 3rd & 4th

at Mt. Hope Auction Grounds, Mt. Hope, Ohio

The 2nd Annual Mt. Hope, Ohio Competition will be held August 3 & 4th, 2007 in Mt. Hope Auction Grounds, Mt. Hope.  Sign in 5:30 - 6:00 p.m, Friday August 3.  Preliminary starts at 6:00 and should be over by 10:00.  Finals start at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, August 4th, and should be over by 4:00.  Please call Crist Miller at 330-359-7877 (Crosco Wood Products) and let him know if you plan to attend. 

Mt. Hope is in Holmes County, Ohio, on State Rt. 241, 10 mi. NE of Millersburg, or 20 mi. SW of Massillon. Site is the Mt. Hope Auction Grounds in the S.E. corner of the S.E. building on the lot, in conjunction with the Antique Steam & Engine Show. 

Entry fee is $20 per player. Small prize for 1st place. All profits will benefit Ohio Crippled Children's Fund. Preliminaries in groups of 4-6 players. Winners of each group will form a group for the finals. Three-move cards will be used.

Reported from Roger Blaine:  Abe Keim of Millersborg, OH won the Mt. Hope Checker Contest, with Neil Wenberg of Harmony, PA 2nd  The event was in connection with a tractor shot at the Mt. Hope Auction Barn.
