The Burlington Checker Club will participate in the Alamance Co. Cedarock Park - "Preserving Our Heritage Festival" Saturday, August 23rd, 2008 10am - 4pm The annual festival will feature demonstrations of turn-of-the-century skills that were typical on a farm of that era including butter churning, soap making, quilting & more. Antique tractors, Auto, & "hit & miss" engines will be on display. Old-time children's games including checkers, sack races & egg toss. Concessions available. Live music all day featuring Southeast Express, playing bluegrass and gospel. Come out & enjoy this fun, family-friendly event. Yes, Checkers and Beekeeping will be there!
Directions: Take Exit 145 off I-85/40, 6.5miles south on Highway 49, turn left onto Friendship Patterson Mill Rd., turn left into Cedarock Park.

south of Interstate 85/40 Exit 145. Home to two Disc Golf courses,
