2010 Greensboro Open 3-Move Tournament Rules of Play:

  • This is a 3-Move/156 Deck - five 2 game rounds (Swiss Style) Checker Tournament.

  • 1 hour & 15 minutes per round - 2 games per round (42.5 minutes per game).

  • Referee will announce "time caveat" at each ending round, with only 15 minutes remaining.

  • Player may request Referee to arbitrate 1st game if approaching time limit, so 2nd game will starts on time.
  • If the game is not completed on time, then a move per minute for 10 minutes.

  • If the move per minute does not create a decision, then the referee will make a decision for the results.

  • If a player is 15 minutes late, the Referee will rule the game forfeited.

  • Get permission from opponent to adjust pieces, if you touch a checker you must play it, if its a legal move; otherwise, a warning from Referee, second offense you forfeit the game.

  • Repairing; only if necessary, in the last round.  

  • 4 points for a Forfeit

  • 3 points for a Bye

  • 2 points for a Win

  • 1 point for a Draw
