• Congratulations! to Isaac “Ike” King from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania as winner of the 2012 Annual Mid-Ohio “GAYP” Checker Meet, and for his outstanding performance he was presented a handcrafted wooden clock created for the occasion.  “Ike” won the 2011“3-Move Mid-Ohio Checker Meet” in Dalton, OH  last year.

• John Acker reported on ACF forum that the 2012 Mid-Ohio GAYP Checker Meet in the heart of Ohio Amish country this weekend was a GREAT tournament, the food and hospitality were also great!

• Before and After Ratings are the results of a player's rating before this tournament and after it was recalculated from this score-sheet by ACF rating processor, Joe Moore.

• I know several other out of state players who wanted to attend but circumstances prohibited them from coming.

• We give a big Thank You to Crist & Rosanna Miller for planning, organizing, & directing this Annual Mid-Ohio Meet.

• John Acker used his laptop and ChessArbiter Pro draughts program to post the results in a timely manner on the ACF Forum and linked to:  http://www.acfnationals.com/miller/fina ... ngs&6.html

• Mose Miller and Eddie Yodeer were late entries partway through Round 1and played each other.

• Eddie Yoder was unrated before he played in this tournament so he was put into the system as a 1600 base average rating, he will + or - according to his performance with other rated players.  An unrated player is considered provisional for the first 20 games and 1600 was the average ACF rating when Eric Strange took over the old Dave Butler rating system and started this new rating program.

• The Entry fee of $20; all proceeds go to the Ohio Crippled Children's Fund.

• The Annual Mid-Ohio Checker Meet alternates back and forth between “GAYP” and “3-Move” every other year, so it will be “3-Move” in 2013.

• The Annual Mid-Ohio Checker Meet decided to schedule their future tournaments on the third Friday & Saturday of  August, so next years dates are, August 16th & 17th, 2013.
