Burlington Checker Club partners with North Carolina Checker Association to sponsor this one day tournament. This is a sanctioned tournament by American Checker Federation with player ratings. The public is welcome and this tournament will bring together the best 11-Man players in the Triad, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Lexington, Asheboro, and Burlington areas. The tourney is an open format allowing anyone interested to register and compete. The highest finishing NC resident player will be recognized as the 2014 North Carolina State 11-Man Ballot Champion. If an out of state player wins, he receives top prize money, trophy, and recognition as the winner of the tournament. Bring your own board, checkers, & time clock. Tourney was announced in News-Record, GoTriad Scene Calendar under recreation.
