The 2016 Alabama Open Checker Tournament will be held in Guin, Alabama
November  11^th & 12^th - Friday and Saturday at Holiday Inn Guin (map)
Usually scheduled 2^nd weekend (Friday & Saturday) in November

Country Club. The rooms feature mini-fridges, microwaves, coffeemakers, flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, and sitting areas.  Amenities
include a casual restaurant/bar, an outdoor pool and a fitness room, as well as a business center & conference room.  Parking is
available. A good number of players arrive Thursday evening and play practice games; however, registration is 9-9:30AM Friday Morning
followed by short business meeting. Tournament Starts at 10:00AM. CBS 42 News confirmed they will be at the tournament to cover this event.
