Saturday, September 9th,
17:00 CEST Opening Ceremony by the mayor of Livorno.
Sunday, September 10th,
9: 00 games 1 and 2 (Game
1 is now scheduled to start at 9:30 a.m. EDT, the original start time for Game
3, because of a heavy rain storm hit Livorno, Italy... .no electricity or
water, and lots of flood water, much damage & 6 deaths.)
15:30 games 3 and 4
Monday, September 11th: (Organizers
decided to postpone the match one day, Game one is now scheduled for
tomorrow, September 11th 9:00 CEST.)
Livorno is 6 hours ahead of East Coast USA. So
9:00 would be 3:00am here.
9: 00 games 5 and 6 (More
Change... plan to start Game one at 3:30 PM this afternoon and play the other
two games on Tuesday morning instead of the rest day. This means, we watch at
9:30 am EST)

• The match will consist of 40 games.
• Games will be played at 24 moves per hour, with 24 moves required per each
additional hour in addition to any unused time. The Players will use Fischer
clocks with 30 seconds increment for each move
• We use the official 156-opening three-move deck.
• No opening is to be repeated during the match.
• After drawing for colours for Game 1, colours will alternate each day as
follows: RWWR WRRW RWWR WRRW etc.
• In the event of a tied match, Michele Borghetti will remain the Three-move
World Champion.
