California State & District 9 Tournament
The California State & District 9 Tournament will be held August 1st - 3rd , 2005

in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the Four Queens . Games will be August 1-2 and possibly the morning of August 3rd if needed. Players will need to arrive July 3lst. The hotel rate will be $35 a day plus tax. Two can share the room.
The highest placing California player will be named CA State champion. Of course, the highest placing player will be 9th District champ. Other States, AK, AZ, CO, HI, ID, MT, NV, OR, UT, WA, and WY without state tournaments will crown their state champions at this tournament.
The tournament is now open to ALL players! Players from all over are welcome to come and participate in this tournament!
The above rate is available to all checker players, family and friends from Sunday July 3l through Thursday, August 4 by just mentioning the checker tourney rate.
Come and see the beautiful new 4 billion $ Wynn hotel. It is the biggest hotel in the world. It's worth a visit. Look forward to seeing old and new faces there.

(I actually withdrew before the round began because it was getting late and the road from Vegas to Phoenix is rough, especially when the weather is bad).
